April 2025 - we now have a NEW and IMPROVED mushroom patch bag seal. Thank you to the clients that gave us feedback, that enabled us to affect the new improvements!

We have designed our own 70-micron polypropylene Autoclave Filter Patch Bag with our signature 5 micron breathable mushroom patch. There are 2 lengths to choose from: 250mm and 330mm wide. The 250mm and 330mm width refers to the 'flat' width i.e. when the bag is placed flat on a surface. If the bag mouth is opened and perfectly round, the inside diameter is 160mm and 210mm respectively.

Watch the video to see how Craig packs (already washed and soaked) sorghum into the 250mm x 330mm non-gusseted Autoclave Patch Bag. In this video, Craig is preparing to sterilise sorghum for grain spawn, and creates a simple tuck in the bag to enable the bag to stand upright. He also demonstrates how to fold and use Autoclave Tape to seal the bag, for best results during sterilisation in a pressure cooker.
